This week's Nug of the Week is Peanut Butter Cup from Clout King, an indica dominant hybrid with a sweet, earthy flavor profile and, in our experience, a pretty heavy body high. We almost exclusively reserve smoking this strain for days when we plan on accomplishing literally nothing. It doesn't make us too sleepy, but our motivation to do anything productive hits absolute zero. That's about the time we grab some water, a snack, and watch an entire season of a show in one sitting, so we thought we'd pair this week's strain with 5 binge-worthy shows to watch while smoking it.
1. Squid Game
Our first binge-worthy option is the suspenseful Korean drama, Squid Game. It follows the main character, Seong Gi-hun, as he and 455 other debt-ridden contestants play games from their childhood for the chance to win ₩45.6 billion (about $38 million USD.) The only catch is that when you're eliminated from a game, not only do you lose you chance at the money, but you lose your life. You can binge Squid Game on Netflix.
2. Inside Job
Whether you love conspiracy theories, or you love to make fun of people who are obsessed with them, Inside Job is the show for you. From robot presidents to lizard people to flat earth conspiracies, this American Dad-esque sitcom has enough ridiculous scenarios to keep you laughing for all ten episodes. You can find Inside Job on Netflix.
3. The People v. OJ Simpson
We've all heard of the OJ Simpson trial, but this Netflix limited series follows all of the twists and turns of quite possibly one of the most divisive murder-trials in recent history. You get an in-depth look at both sides of the case, and with a star-studded cast featuring the likes of Cuba Gooding Jr. and John Travolta, the story gets told in an extremely captivating way. This is one historical drama that will leave you on the edge of your seat questioning what you already know about the infamous trial. The People v. OJ Simpson can be found on FX and Netflix.
4. What We Do In The Shadows
What We Do In The Shadows (based off of the 2014 move with the same name) is a comedy-horror mockumentary series that follows the day to day lives of four vampire roommates who live together in Staten Island. The series revolves around the centuries-old vampires interacting with the modern world and other supernatural beings. Critically acclaimed and absolutely hilarious, What We Do In The Shadows is a great watch anytime of the year, but a must-watch before the end of October. You can catch it on Hulu.
5. The Great British Baking Show
No binge list would be complete without at least one cooking competition show, and The Great British Baking Show is one that should be at the top of your list. With 9 seasons on Netflix, and countless recipes that are sure to get your munchies going, we are not responsible for any changes in your waistline as you get deeper into the show. You can find The Great British Baking Show on Netflix.
